The SPO 2013 conference purpose is to bring together students, scientists and engineers involved in research and development of technologies related to optics and high technology material science. We welcome researchers involved in optics, photonics, applied physics and engineering. We hope that this Conference will permit to connect our joint effort for strengthening the role of high optical education in the modern industrial society.
Ideas on how to analyze and approach problems by combining novel optical technologies, photonics applications, electronic interfaces and principal optics technologies, either in the scope of R&D projects, engineering or network management, are welcome. Papers describing new engineering prototypes, systems and techniques for manufacturing and general survey papers indicating future directions are also welcome. Papers should describe original work in any of the areas listed below. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality. Both full research reports and work-in-progress reports are welcome. There will be both oral and poster sessions.
Special sessions dedicated to technical exhibition related to the main conference topics are also envisaged: researchers interested in organizing a special scientific/education session and researchers interested in presenting a tutorial are invited to contact the conference organizers.
