Dr. Amina Saleh Dr Amina is the Hospital Director of Al Noor Hospital - Al Ain, and has a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Atlanta, United States. She started with a Diploma in Nursing from Lebanon, a Health Science Degree in Nursing from the Auckland Institute of Technology, New Zealand, followed by a Master's Degree in Health Management from the University of New England, Australia. Dr. Amina is a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a member of the License & Registration Scientific Committee of the UAE Nursing Council. She is member of the New Zealand Nurses Organization.   Dr. Arwa Al Modwahi Dr. Arwa is the Senior Officer for Public Health, Health Authority-Abu Dhabi. She has an MD Degree and earned a Master's Degree of Public Health in Nutrition with Honors from UC Berkeley. She Previously she practiced as a Medical Doctor in Damascus, Syria & Sana'a, Yemen, and worked as a Researcher for the Bixby program at the School of Public Health in UC Berkeley, and the Patient & Family Education Chapter Leader at Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE.   Ms. Catherine Alnajjar Catherine teaches Health Sciences and is in the process of developing a 4 year Bachelor of Nursing Program and a Transitional Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at the Higher Colleges of Technology – Dubai Women's Campus. She previously worked as a Registered Nurse in Zayed Military Hospital, a Charge Nurse, In-Service Education Coordinator and Nursing Supervisor in Al Jazeera Hospital, and later as Acting Head of Nursing Practice in the Department of Nursing, Ministry of Health until 2000. Back in the UK she was a General Manager of Care Homes for the Elderly, and later taught and managed the Health and Social Care Department of a further education college   Ms. Elenka Pavlova Elenka is the Director of Nursing at Al Noor Hospital – Airport Road. She has a Master Degree in Nursing Science from the University of Manchester through Royal College of Nursing, London. She initially obtained a Diploma in Nursing, specializing in Pediatrics in Bulgaria, followed by a Post Graduate Course in Pediatric Nursing and a BS in Nursing Education. She also completed a Diploma in Management at the University of Leicester, UK. She has 13 years of experience as a Director of Nursing in various Emirates of the UAE, and filled senior nursing positions in Libya and Bulgaria. She was also a Senior Nursing Teacher at the College of Nursing in Bulgaria for 8 years   Dr. Fatima Al Rifai Dr Fatima is the Director of the Federal Department of Nursing in the Ministry of Health, U.A.E. She has a PhD in Nursing from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, and is a founding member of the Emirates Nursing Association (ENA) and a member of its Administrative Board. Most recently she headed a national workforce to establish the UAE Nursing and Midwifery Council and is now a Board member and secretary of the Council. She has provided, as short term consultant for EMRO – WHO, a Consultation to Develop National Nursing and Midwifery Strategy for the Republic of Yemen, the Syrian Arab Republic and Sudan   Dr. Khurshid Khawajah Dr Khurshid is the Director of Nursing, JCIA Consultant, ISO Lead Auditor at Al Noor Hospital - Al Ain. She has a PhD in Nursing form Ballarat University of Australia and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Patient Safety from McMaster University Canada. Previously she was an Associate Professor in Aga Khan University Hospital, and also a Consultant and Facilitator for implementing JCIA Standards, ISO Standards, TQM and other Quality Standards at Aga Khan Hospital. Dr. Khurshid is also a Certified QMS Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 by IRCA in Abu Dhabi, a Certified JCIA Assessor by JCIA in Chicago, and a Certified Lead Assessor for ISO 9002 by AOQC   Ms. Linda Haskins Linda fulfills dual roles as the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer as well as the ADON Emergency Department & Surgery Institute/CSSD & Bed Management & Quality ONSA at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. She has a Master's Degree in Healthcare Management from the University of South Africa, and completed an IIWCC, Wound Care Course from the Toronto University in Canada. She also holds a CPHQ certification in Quality & Safety from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, USA. She has worked in the Middle East for 13years, commencing as a Nurse Manager in a Pediatric Immunization Clinic, becoming Assistant Director of Nursing in Central and Al Jazeera Hospital. Linda is a member of ACHE (American Center of Healthcare Executives), and a member of the newly formed Emirates Nursing Association.   Ms. Lynda Mikalauskas Lynda serves as Chief Clinical Officer as part of the Johns Hopkins management team for Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi. In addition to her senior leadership role at Corniche Hospital, she has held a faculty appointment with the department of Health Systems and Outcomes at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing for 2010 and 2011. She received her Nursing degree in Montreal Canada, at Vanier College and a BScN at the University of Montreal. She obtained her Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Health Care Management at the University of Colorado at Denver. She also serves as a Joint Commission International consultant, since 2006, and ensures the maintenance of Corniche Hospital's certification from the World Health Organization as a "Baby Friendly Hospital".   Mr. Mohamed Ali Mohamed Ali is the Assistant Director of Nursing and clinical expert in JCIA and ISO accreditation at Al Noor Hospital – Airport Road. He is in the process of completing a Master of Science Degree in Critical Care from Cardiff University, UK where is also completed a Post-graduate Diploma in critical care. Prior to Al Noor Hospital, he worked for the Dubai Health Authority in Rashid Hospital as a Senior Staff-Nurse/Charge Nurse in Surgical ICU. There he also fulfilled the role of JCIA facilitator in the ICU during their accreditation, and was an active member of the Disease Specific Accreditation team for the Acute Coronary Syndrome.   Ms. Nazneen Maymoun Nazneen is the Director of Nursing for the Sharjah Medical District (SMD) in the Emirate of Sharjah. She has a MBA from University of Wollongong in Dubai, a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences in Nursing from the University of Sharjah, and holds a Green belt for Six Sigma from the International Quality Foundation in the USA. She is an assessor for Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program (SKGEP) for the SMD, Head of the processes committee for the program in the SMD, Deputy at the SMD level, and participated in the Self-Assessment cycle of the Excellence program. Nazneen is also a member at the Federal Department of Nursing for the Policy & Practice, and Nursing & Examination committee.
