Information and communication technologies have been providing an effective network 

infrastructure and development platform for logistics and service operations. To meet 

the needs of consumers and promote core competences of firms, new types of services

 will be required. LISS2014 is a prime international forum for both researchers and

 practitioners to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and

 practice of logistics, informatics and service sciences. Both researchers and 

practitioners will discuss academic issues, seize future development opportunities,
