Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom invites Outstanding Youth Leadersto take part in the 4th University Scholars Leadership Symposium to be held in Manila, Philippines from August 1 to 7, 2013.

The 2013 Manila Symposium is endorsed by the United Nations Department of Social Affairs, the United Nations Youth Unit in New York, and the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines. It is also supported by the Australian Embassy in the United Kingdom.

This annual program for leadership in social change is specially designed to provide the next generation of leaders with an understanding of key humanitarian issues and sustainable development challenges. It also aims to motivate the youth to maximize their potential as agents of change through challenging training sessions with diverse international peers and inspiring lectures and workshops conducted by internationally renowned humanitarian leaders.

The program will focus on leadership and communication, project management and implementation, lectures from expert humanitarians, as well as hands-on service learning activities at a local community.

- Robin Lim (CNN Hero of the Year, 2011)

- Bam Aquino (Ten Outstanding Young People of the World, 2012)

- Tony Meloto (Founder of Gawad Kalinga, Philippines)

- Geraldine Cox (Founder of Sunrise Children’s Village, Cambodia)

The registration fee of USD 780 is inclusive of:
