8th Annual Conference of the German Association for Emergency Medicine (DGINA)
|Event Date/Time: Nov 07, 2013||End Date/Time: Nov 09, 2013|
This congress will have the theme "Emergency Medicine moving forward" and will take place in Hamburg between 7–9 November 2013.
Every year, around a quarter of all people in Germany seek help in an emergency department. If they bring only one relative with them this means that half of Germany's population has contact with an emergency department every year. The congress in Hamburg in 2013 will make a great step forward in efforts to provide these patients in Germany with a high standard of emergency care which meets the care levels achieved internationally elsewhere in Europe.
A Europe-wide movement is underway towards providing training for the specialty physician for emergency medicine. To support availability of training in the same form in Germany, the congress will offer part of the training for the emergency medicine specialty under the EuSEM curriculum. This pilot project is unique in Europe and has been developed as a core theme of the congress.
With a combination of inter-professional symposia covering key themes and provided throughout by internationally-recognised experts, we wish to create the basis for an exchange of specialist, professional knowledge and skills crossing frontiers.
The DGINA Congress in Hamburg in 2013 will start with a revolutionary innovation: Every congress participant will for the first time in Germany be able to receive a start in the emergency specialty training programme under the EuSEM curriculum.
Come to Hamburg and help to move emergency medicine forward!
