Description
The aim of the international workshop is to provide doctoral students in theoretical economics with an opportunity to talk about new developments in their field and present their research. Organized entirely by doctoral students, it is designed to create an informal atmosphere in which participants can discuss their work in progress with peers and researchers.
The days of the workshop will be dedicated to the presentation of contributed papers from the doctoral students. A presentation will last 30 minutes (including time for discussion).
This international workshop is organized by the doctoral students of the International Research Training Group EBIM, Economic Behavior and Interaction Models. Since April 2005, EBIM has offered a structured graduate program in the field of quantitative economics as a cooperation between Bielefeld University and the École Doctorale d’Économie of the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Located at the Center for Mathematical Economics (IMW) at Bielefeld University, the program is carried out in close cooperation with the Bielefeld Graduate School of Economics and Management (BiGSEM).
In accordance with the EBIM research agenda, we welcome papers with a quantitative focus in the following research areas:
Game Theory Behavioral Economics Evolutionary Dynamics General Equilibrium Theory Decision Theory Mathematical Finance Industrial Organization Computational Economics Social and Economic Networks Monetary Economics Economic Growth Business Cycle Theory
We welcome applications from doctoral students at any stage of their doctoral studies and plan to have about 15 presentations. If you wish to apply, please send an e-mail with a full paper or an extended abstract an attached PDF-file to
