ASMC13 - 5th International Symposium on Advances in Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry (ASMC13)
Organization: ChemBridge Corporation
|Event Date/Time: May 05, 2013||End Date/Time: May 08, 2013|
|Abstract Submission Date: Mar 20, 2013|
ASMC’13 Moscow is being organized by the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC) and ChemBridge Corporation, as part of the series of events which started with ASMC’04 Moscow, followed by two editions in St. Petersburg (ASMC’07, ASMC’11) and one in Kiev (ASMC’09). This new edition will be chaired by Prof. Peter Seeberger (Max Planck Institute, DE) and Dr Alan Palkowitz (Eli Lilly & Co., USA).
This series of events have, since their start, been high points of the world’s chemistry events, each one with distinguished academic and industrial speakers, about 200 poster communications and 400 to 600 participants, representing more than 40 countries around the world.
The topics to be covered during this symposium include: - New Synthetic Methodologies, Total Synthesis of Natural Products and Heterocyclic Chemistry - Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery & Development
Beyond key lectures in synthetic and catalytic chemistry, the symposium aims at extending the range from ‘small molecules’ to ‘large molecules’ including carbohydrates, natural products, novel protein scaffolds, dendrimers, and genes and is expected to attract experts in synthetic chemistry, flow chemistry, total synthesis, catalysis, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, molecular imaging, and chemical development.
The Scientific Program will be composed of
- 26 invited plenary lectures, presented by leading scientists from academia and from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry from Europe, USA and former USSR countries; - 10 short oral communications, to be selected from submitted abstracts; - a poster session
and will be completed by a commercial exhibition as well as by an attractive cultural and sightseeing program around Moscow.
The official Symposium language is English.
The commercial exhibition will form an integral part of the Symposium and will represent a unique opportunity for companies to present and promote their products and services to the numerous scientists involved in Organic Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry. With an estimated 400+ participants, the attendance of ASMC13 Moscow, based on the 2011 experience in St. Petersburg, is expected to be composed of approx. 1/3 participants from Industry and 2/3 from Academia, with a truly international profile – over 45 countries represented, from Europe incl. Russia (72%), the Americas (7%), Asia (20%), and Africa (1%).
The exhibition will take place from Monday May 6 to Wednesday May 8, and will be located close to the meeting rooms. For further information about the sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, please contact the Symposium Secretariat at .
