Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) 39th Annual Educational Conference
Organization: Association of Rehabilitation Nurses
|Event Date/Time: Oct 02, 2013 / 5:00 pm - (EST)||End Date/Time: Oct 05, 2013 / 1:15 pm - (EST)|
Each year, the ARN Annual Educational Conference strives to be extraordinary, and this year is going to be another remarkable event.
We are excited to welcome the incomparable J.R. Martinez, Iraqi war veteran, “Dancing with the Stars” champion, and the actor who played Brot Monroe on “All My Children,” as our keynote speaker. Long before he reached Hollywood celebrity status, Martinez was a soldier and seriously wounded in combat. Now, he uses his experience throughout recovery to help others by sharing his story and listening to theirs.
Closing speaker NHRA World Champion Drag Racer Darrell Gwynn will also share his remarkable story of breaking down barriers to success. Although he was gravely injured at the age of 28 during a drag race, one thing that never changed was Gwynn’s willingness to meet challenges head-on and live life on his terms. The competitive spirit he developed early on still thrives today.
As always, ARN is offering an array of preconference and optional events for attendees, including the highly regarded ARN Leadership Course. Nurses will also have the opportunity to attend the professional hospital tour of Carolinas Rehabilitation. In addition, “energy” is the name of the game this year, and we have incorporated some great “get moving” opportunities to benefit the Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation (RNF), including an evening contemporary line dance class and an early morning Zumba session!
The ARN conference will continue to offer nurses in all levels, roles, and settings comprehensive education in rehabilitation nursing.
We hope to see you in Charlotte, NC!
