International Conference Cinema – Art, Technology, Communication
Date: 24 to 28 July, 2013
Place: Avanca – Portugal

In July 2013 the AVANCA | CINEMA will hold its 4th edition, bringing together researchers whose works are focused on cinema and its connection with art, communication and technology.
In three editions we have counted on the presence of 507 participants, 406 presentations and the publication of 466 communications that filled 3511 pages in four volumes published by "CCA" editions. We have received participants from 27 countries from the 5 continents and some saw their communications awarded the "Eng. Fernando Gonçalves Lavrador Prize" or “IAMS Prize".
AVANCA | CINEMA is a unique meeting point by the conjunction with the Film Festival AVANCA and it’s a privileged place of publication, reflection and debate of the latest research around cinema. During these 5 days in July, researchers, academics, filmmakers, producers, actors, critics, technicians and film lovers from all over the world will be together in Avanca.
A conference taking place among the movies and the public of a festival.
AVANCA 2013 hosts workshops, film screenings, book presentations, roundtables, plenary and parallel sessions, as well as being a movie factory that, on those days, will invade all the places and wills.
Again, we’re counting on you for this double cinephile event!
