CALL FOR PAPERS: INTERNATIONAL VEHICLE AERODYNAMICS CONFERENCE.
Organization: The Institution of Mechanical Engineers
Venue: Holywell Park
|Event Date/Time: Oct 14, 2014||End Date/Time: Oct 15, 2014|
|Abstract Submission Date: Jan 31, 2014|
|Paper Submission Date: Apr 28, 2014|
The ability to design vehicles that can meet these exacting technical challenges is based on fundamental scientific and engineering knowledge, as well as wind tunnel and computational fluid dynamics technology. The International Vehicle Aerodynamics Conference 2014 is the latest event in the successful series supported by the Royal Aeronautical Society and MIRA since 1994. This prestigious conference provides an ideal opportunity for engineers, designers, academics and researchers to present the latest developments across an extensive range of aerodynamics themes including: • Vehicle aerodynamic development • Drag reduction through design and technology • Handling and stability • Cooling flows and efficiency • Surface contamination • Vehicle internal environment • Tyre aerodynamics and modelling • Aeroacoustics • Fluid structure interaction • Simulating the vehicle environment • Onset flow turbulence • Understanding fundamental flow structures • Developing test methods and facilities • CFD simulation • Competition vehicle aerodynamics
OFFERS OF PAPERS.
If you are involved with vehicle aerodynamics and think others may be interested in your work or the technology being developed, why not share your knowledge and expertise by producing and presenting a paper? The first step is to produce an abstract of your proposed paper of not more than 250 words. Your abstract should be written in English and must include your name, paper title and affiliations. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 31 January 2014. Please submit your abstract online at www.imeche.org/automobile/ivac/callforpapers
The organising committee will select authors and invite them to submit a draft paper of up to 4,000 words. The deadline for draft papers is 28 April 2014. The committee will consider all draft papers submitted and all papers will be refereed by two independent reviewers. The final acceptance will depend on content of the final manuscript and the final manuscript being received by 18 July 2014. All conference papers should be written and presented in English. Authors are required to attend the conference to present their work. Presenting authors enjoy a substantial reduction in the registration fee. However, the Institution will not be able to reimburse any travel or accommodation expenses. All accepted papers will be published in a soft-bound volume available to all conference delegates. We encourage authors to submit their work to the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering, or the International Journal of Engine Research. See http://journals.pepublishing.com for more details. Selected authors may be invited to submit an extended version of their paper for review and inclusion in Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering’
