Carrier Ethernet APAC is the largest and most comprehensive event looking at the technologies behind Carrier Ethernet from the service provider perspective while addressing the distinctive regional framework. As the official event of the MEF in the region, CE APAC features more than 45 operator and solution provider presentations and panel discussions. Attendees have a unique opportunity to learn from the experience of Asian telecom operators advancing the Ethernet market, with case studies exploring everything from the making of the business case to mobile backhaul to entering the world of Ethernet Cloud Services. The event also features the region’s leading Carrier Ethernet Awards, a much sought-after recognition in the industry.

Carrier Ethernet represents a fundamental transformation in carrier networking due in part to its intrinsic scalability and its ability to deliver cost-effective, flexible and high-performance solutions to Service Providers and end-users. The real benefit of Carrier Ethernet is that it offers substantial economic and implementation benefits. Service Providers everywhere are migrating their existing networks to deliver Carrier Ethernet services to Enterprises, Business and residential end-users.

CE 2.0 represents advances in services and networks that on one hand provide application oriented services for next gen applications including cloud, new interconnect services and enhanced manageability to provide both local and global insight. On the other hand new, very simple, wholesale access services open up new markets that will make it much easier for new regional and local providers to join the Carrier Ethernet community and generate new revenue.

For the first time we will also include Ethernet Cloud Services in a dedicated stream. Asia is the a tiger of Cloud Computing, with more than 40% year on year growth expected until 2015- the world’s highest rate! Although the hype around Cloud has yet to settle, Cloud is now already beginning to get traction with larger enterprises moving their IT to the Cloud.
