Focusing on quality talent, infrastructure development and advanced technology adoption; the Philippines Government is committed to improving ICT services throughout the nation. By collaborating with industry and working with the ICT advisory council to ensure the successful execution of the Philippine Digital Strategy, the nation has set out for ICT efficiencies in the priority areas of Cyber Security, The National Broadband Plan, Cloud Computing, Data Privacy, Public Finance and ICT procurement, ICT education and a code of ICT Laws.
The Philippines IT market was forecasted to grow around 9.6% in 2013 to a value of PHP162.8bn. This growth is being supported by the Governments initiatives along with the proliferation of PC ownership as affordable devices become widely available. Other growth factors include the outsourcing industry, cloud computing uptake and the Governments IT investments in education and healthcare sectors.
Among the public and private sector collaborations that focus on ICT, the Philippines will continue to undergo continuing economic growth throughout 2014; showing resilience to global market risks with a strong domestic demand and higher business confidence.
As the nation develops and prepares for the digital business landscape on the horizon, IT has gained a unique position in being the enabler of socio-economic development and a smarter Philippines. This shift places the CIO in the frontline and it has been said that the CIO with lead the way into the future of business with IT becoming the heart beat to every major enterprise in the world.
This brings us to the 2014 Philippines CIO Leaders’ Summit. The Summit is invitation only and intended for the Philippines senior IT leaders to gather for a strategic two day event in order to exchange knowledge and interact as one over a range of important issues facing industries. The one-to-one meetings with leading supplier companies will also provide a wealth of knowledge and offer opportunities for all attending delegates, while the informal networking sessions promise to create a unique interactive forum.
Our advisory council and organising committee are made up of some of the country’s most respected IT leaders who have created the most relevant and topical agenda for our attending audience. They have invited leading experts to provide sessions on site, allowing all attendees the opportunity to be informed by front-line executives that compress years of meaningful experience into a systematic, well-organised learning program.
On behalf of the entire organising committee, we hope you will join us for what promises to be another compelling and stimulating event.
We look forward to welcoming you to the CIO Leaders Summit, Philippines, in the Manilla Marriot Hotel, Philippines, on the 6-7 August 2014.
