Nazarbayev University is delighted to announce the fourth annual international conference within the framework of Eurasian Higher Education Leaders’ Forum – 2015: Graduate Employability in the 21st Century.


The conference aims to bring together education stakeholders from the continent of Eurasia and beyond to contribute their ideas and participate in vibrant discussion on questions and challenges facing higher education leaders throughout the world. Every year this event attracts more than half a thousand of scholars, university top management, policymakers, students and other parties interested in discussing and promoting issues of higher education. With its atmosphere of lively debates, the Forum welcomes participants to share their opinions and engage in a multilateral dialogue on the most recent issues in the field of education. 

Information on Sessions

There will be five sessions that last 2-2.5 hours each. Please see the program for schedule. All sessions will be plenary sessions with about 400 audience participants.

Each session will start with a keynote speech on a defined topic, after which panelists will engage in discussion, with each other and the audience. 

Collection of abstracts of the speakers will be available prior to the conference on the website.

Poster presentations will combine text and graphics to highlight research findings of research organizations, higher education institutions and independent researchers related to themes of the conference. 

Conference Proceedings

Articles of the speakers will be included into the Conference Proceedings, which will be indexed at Thompson Reuters. Previous proceedings can be seen here

Registration is on fee basis.

Online registration and poster presentations submission starts February 28, 2015

Poster presentation submission ends May 15, 2015

Review Results on poster presentation send out May 20, 2015

Participant registration closes June 1, 2015

Exhibits included

Special Session “Development of Strategic Directions for Education Reforms in Kazakhstan for 2015-2020.”

The wide-scale project project is implemented by the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education with the goal to support the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in further modernization of education system. Highly qualified team of international experts have working on this project for three years studying preschool, secondary, technical and vocational, and higher education of Kazakhstan. The project encompasses identification of major systemic issues of education in Kazakhstan and development of the Action Plan with the most effective ways of solving them.

 June 10-12 Universities, educational organizations and vendors present their products in the exhibition. Participation in the exhibition gives you opportunity to build connections, find business partners.

Session on Sharing Nazarbayev University Experience aims at introducing participants with certain aspects of the Nazarbayev University experiences on library, student affairs, career advising, integrated academic healthcare system   Library Connect 2015: Emerging Global Trends in University Library Development A two-day professional development seminar for staff and administration of Kazakhstani academic libraries. student advising, curriculum development, etc.
