Representatives of the governments, international organizations and universities of Latin America are called to develop a vision for eCollaboration, eDemocracy, and eGovernment. The main objective is to discuss the regions’s transition to an information and knowledge society that will accelerate and enhance regional economic, social, cultural and technological development and exchange.
The International Conference on eDemocracy & eGovernment (ICEDEG 2014) addresses the main issues of web-based knowledge management for society and science. It covers technical and non-technical aspects of eSociety, eGovernment, eHealth, and eEducation, among others. Research papers as well as case studies are of interest in the following areas (but are not limited to):
- eSociety and eGovernance: Public Websites, eAssistance, Mobile Services, Public Key Infrastructure, eEducation, eLearning.
- eParticipation and eDemocracy: eCollaboration, eVoting, eElection, Public Memory, eCommunity.
- eGovernment and eHealth: Health Portals, Demand and Disease Management, Home Care, Mobile Emergency, Tele-monitoring.
The scientific program consists of research papers, panels, and tutorials. In addition to the scientific program, an industrial track is planned to enforce the knowledge transfer between universities and industry in Latin America. The industrial track will provide a platform for posters, demonstrations, and case studies.

Accepted papers and case studies will be published in our Open Access platform for eDemocracy & eGovernment. To improve the visibility of all published papers, they will be archived and indexed in different research-oriented Open Access platforms such as: zenodo.org and openaire.eu. We are getting partnerships with other Open Access platforms.
