This 5-day course is designed to train participants with the detailed aspects of Petroleum Refining Processing and Refinery Masterplanning.  After the course, the partcipants will fully undertsand how complex refineries operate, how to evaluate a basket of crudes for processing, and handle concepts of refinery economics. They will also understand the impact of the market requirements on finished products, and acquire familiarization with the processes and their insertion within the refinery and how to conceptually analyze their configurations. The course is directed to those professionals new in the refining business that require a good session of chemistry details, process conditions  and process flowsheets description.

Conference Speakers

Jorge Foglietta has more than thirty six years of experience in process technology and project engineering for the hydrocarbon processing industries. His specific fields of experience include gas processing, petroleum refining and LNG. He has held engineering positions and executive responsibilities that included strategic technology planning, technology development, process design, evaluation of facilities, design and selection of process equipment, safety analysis, construction, plant start-ups and operations troubleshooting. Jorge earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1976. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Advisory Committee of the Laurance Reid Gas Conditioning Conference, and Co-Chair of the Facilities Design Forum of the Gas Processors Association (GPA).
