This two-day course provides an introduction to the art of specifying and selecting pumps for various applications. Practical understanding is emphasized, with a minimum of theory and detailed design aspects. The course will also cover process considerations and pump auxiliaries. The course is designed for technical professionals and operation personnel involved in the design, operation and purchase of pumps and pumping systems.

John Henderson is currently an independent consultant in Calgary, Alberta, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His area of expertise includes the design, operation, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment. He has lectured for a number of large companies internationally, has been a member of the API 612 Committee, and enjoys the occasional round of golf.
