Description

Rising fuel cost, limited renewable energy and anticipated future legislation on fuel economy is demanding a continuous reduction of fuel consumption and improved fuel economy for off highway engine applications. This international seminar will bring speakers from a number of European companies together to examine the latest technological advances that can improve whole vehicle efficiency for the power generation, construction and agricultural sectors. Presentations will address the following topics:

  • Future legislation and technology roadmap
  • Transmissions and engine optimisation
  • Energy recovery, hybridisation and future fuel economy
  • Aftertreatment
  • Infrastructure and vehicle level emissions testing
  • Emissions
  • Hydraulics

Speakers confirmed include:

  • Mikael Larsson, HDD Applications Manager Europe, Johnson Matthey
  • Igor Strashny, HDV Fuel Efficiency Chief Technologist, Caterpillar
  • Paul Ross, Consultant Director, Ricardo & Director, Construction Equipment Association
  • Jon Horsley, Lead Technologist - Low Carbon Vehicles Innovation Platform, Technology Strategy Board
  • Richard Gordon, Vehicle Product Group Head, Ricardo
  • Bill Lamb, Cummins
  • Ron Bickerton

Attending this event will help you:

  • Gain an insight into how the off highway industry is addressing the challenging need for more efficient engines and machines.
  • Learn about current developments and technologies that can be employed to improve engine and machine overall fuel and fluid consumption.
  • Explore how off highway engines and machinery are being developed with a focus on fuel economy and CO2 reduction.
  • Understand the future challenges and drivers that can deliver more efficient products.
  • Meet major industry players and academics, understand the challenges they are facing and identify opportunities for collaboration.
