Investing in Ethiopia's energy future
Ethiopia is rich in renewable energy resources. The total endowment of hydropower is estimated to be up to 45,000 MW per annum, yet only 3% of the country’s hydropower capacity is currently being exploited. A country on the brink of an energy revolution, Ethiopia is poised to explore further potential for geothermal, wind and solar and biomass resources as long-term options for power generation.
