From September 30th to October 4th 2013, up to 1,000 experts, decision makers and visitors from around the world are expected to attend the fourteenth edition of the Sardinia Symposia. This edition of the conference, organized by IWWG - International Waste Working Group - sees the scientific support of prestigious Universities such as University of Padova (IT), Tongji University (CN), Technological University of Denmark (DE), Fukuoka University (JP), University of Central Florida (US), Hamburg University of Technology (DE) and will focus as per tradition on the advances of Waste Management science and technology, presenting case studies and discussing the main controversial subjects, sharing experiences among different countries, valuating social and economical balances.
The Sardinia Symposia were established 25 years ago and have rapidly become the Reference Forum in the field of Waste Management for the international community, where state of the art concepts, strategies and technologies are presented and experiences shared by leading scientists, administrators and practitioners. All new ideas and approaches applied worldwide in the last two decades were thoroughly debated and reviewed during the numerous workshop sessions in the Symposia, some of them purposely organized in cooperation to the IWWG task groups.
The Congress will last 5 days and will be organized in two general sessions, three specialized sessions and two workshop sessions for a total of seven parallel tracks in English. An eighth session will be held entirely in Italian.
Poster papers will be presented in an appropriate session and discussed in the afternoons from Monday to Thursday.
Additionally, organizations, associations and companies are traditionally welcome to have their internal meetings during the event, with the support of the Symposium Secretariat.
Training Courses will be arranged under the supervision of leading international experts on Sunday 29th September prior to opening of the Symposium. Courses are open to all participants and are suited to beginners.
During the Symposium an exhibition will be held in the Foyer adjacent to the conference hall where organizations, companies and institutions operating in the field may advertize new concepts and technologies
A total of 32 stands are available - please see map below. Each stand is numbered and you may indicate stand preference. Every effort will be made to respect Exhibitors’ preferences where possible. The Organizers reserve the right to make other assignments when deemed to be in the best interest of the event. All stands will be assigned according to the following criteria:
- Receipt of filled in booking form and payment of deposit;
- Date of receipt of booking form;
- Stand availability;
- Stand preference.
