Description
According to EN-13306:2001, SHUTDOWN is a planned stop of a process for maintenance or other reasons. In addition to this definition, one can refer to emergency break down of the processes as an unplanned form of SHUTDOWN. Up to now, the main approach expressed in SHUTDOWN conferences has been representing the methods for the correct use and management of the time during which the process is stopped; therefore, no attempt has been made to hold a conference specifically dedicated to reducing the length of SHUTDOWN or even eliminating the need for SHUTDOWN. Accordingly, AIDIGroup intends to hold the first conference in SHUTDOWN with this focus. The main aim in the conference is providing feasible solutions to decreasing the duration, or even eliminating the need for the stopping of equipment and manufacturing processes by reviewing and studying best practices in different industries and training workshops.
