Description
The Brownfield Briefing Site Investigation 2013 conference returns to London on 13 June. New techniques and practical solutions for improved data collection & analysis for accurate risk assessment and site investigation will give the all-important analysis required in the sector's changing climate. The revised statutory guidance for Part 2A has presented significant challenges to local authorities, consultants and contractors in interpreting new regulations, including the identification of Categories 2 and 3, plus the development of new Category 4 screening levels. The Site Investigation 2013 conference will open with an assessment of how this has been dealt with in the revision's first year. Regulatory development aside, the industry is always advancing its techniques and strategies, including those in in-situ probing. A series of UK and European case studies will detail the new techniques being used for more accurate and targeted site characterisation. This broad but detailed programme will cover risk assessment in the new regulatory climate; research developments in asbestos, case studies on advances in in-situ techniques and advice on enhancing Conceptual Site Models. Delegates will include policy and regulatory advisors, engineers, environmental scientists, consultants and contaminated land officers.
