New York City is the epitome of global wealth. It is home to the ultimate high-net-worth individual and it will continue to be the select destination for the world’s wealthy elite as the number of individuals worth more than US$30 million swells by 50% over the next decade. It is predicted that by 2022, New Yorkwill be home to 10, 306 millionaires with London and Tokyo in second and third place holding 8,202 and 6,763 respectively.

Equally, North America, whilst just behind Europe in terms of the number of billionaires with 586 versus Europe’s 708 in 2012, is predicted to jump, by 2022, to 1,146 billionaires with Asia following closely with 1,130 billionaires andEurope in third place with 1,115. The financial markets in the US generate more revenue than any other nation, and it continues to be called home by many of the world’s leading companies.

It is obvious from these figures that, not only will wealth in North America grow and lead the world, but indeed New York will continue to be the city with the most millionaires. On this basis, we will explore and examine their demands and needs.
