The first call for participation is open and we invite researchers and practitioners to submit original work for presentation at the Third Annual International Conference on Sustainable Human Development 2015 (iSHuD 2015). The special theme for this year is Sustainable Operations.

The conference will be held in London, UK May 26th and 27th 2015.

Brunel University campus, Uxbridge, UB8 3PH.

Scholars are encouraged to submit theoretical, empirical and practice oriented papers on the themes of the conference. We welcome high quality submissions in any of the cognate areas listed below in an international context with potential application to policy for improving the quality of life for citizens. The main criteria for acceptance are originality, relevance and scientific merit.

The chair invites original high quality contributions in the following broad thematic areas:

CONFERENCE AIMS

Through this conference we aim to provide the leading forum for debate on issues of importance to society at large. Through a structured programme of research presentations, seminars, posters, demonstrations and exhibition, it is intended that participants will gain new insights, knowledge and competencies of relevance to the betterment of life in a sustainable way. Scholars and policy makers will have the opportunity to engage in discussion on the pressing problems facing long-term viability and sustainability of societies, including considerations for diversity and well-being of local communities in reaction to the challenges posed by growing globalization and development.

The conference programme is designed to provide multiple opportunities for participation in accordance with the nature and intention of the contribution. A common feature of all contributions shall be provision for interaction between presenter and audience in order to have a constructive exchange of ideas. A separate corporate programme will be provided in which organizations may present products, commercial research and company profiles, as well as present topic specific workshops. In the first instance, a proposal is required in which should be provided details of the corporate activity planned including the topic of the proposed workshop, seminar, etc. Contributions may be made in any of the following categories.

  • Research Papers (full and short)
  • Student Papers and Posters
  • Work in progress (Posters and Demonstrations)
  • Corporate Showcases & Demonstrations
  • Tutorials
  • Workshops

Registration entitles an author to submit a paper of the following style.

  • Doctoral papers should be maximum 8 pages.
  • Short papers should be maximum 6 pages.
  • Full papers should be maximum 12 pages.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY in the asociated International Journal of Sustainable Human Development

The chair invites submissions in relevant fields beyond the central themes, which will be considered for inclusion at the discretion of the reviewers and the programme committee. Researchers working in the area of management, education and technology are welcome to participate, though submissions should demonstrate a connection to at least one of the broad themes.
