Description

The University of Notre Dame Australia will hold an international conference on its Broadway Campus on the concept of Tradition. The conference will bring together prominent international and national speakers to explore the concept of tradition in its many forms - from the notion of Sacred Tradition to the ideas of religious, social and political traditions that are important features of human communal life. Presentations from philosophers, theologians, historians and social commentators will focus on four key ideas: the concept of Tradition in Catholic thought, how Tradition relates to the many social traditions that contribute to the faith, how tradition can guide and explain human relationships and whether tradition is in fact a defensible concept.
