Managed by the International WaterCentre with the support of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the WASH2014 Conference (24 – 28 March 2014, Brisbane) explores the issue of universal access to WASH and invites practitioners from civil society, government and industry, donors and academics to share learnings, build on existing WASH dialogues and establish global networks.
Menstrual hygiene management, hard to reach communities and planning WASH in an era of climate change are just some of the issues that will be explored in an engaging program that includes 2 days of presentations and 3 days of training. Delegates will also hear from distinguished international keynote speakers including Sanjay Wijesekera (Chief of WASH Programme Division, UNICEF), Almud Weitz (Water and Sanitation Program, World Bank), Archana Patkar (Programme Manager, Networking and Knowledge Management, Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council), Professor Jamie Bartram (Director, Water Institute at UNC) and Rhonda Robinson (Deputy Director of the Water and Sanitation Programme, Applied Geoscience and Technology Division (SOPAC), Secretariat of the Pacific Community)
