We are pleased to announce Assumption University, Suvarnabhumi Campus, Bangkok, Thailand as the host for the fourteenth IBEC. The dual peer review process will be administered by an editor group ensuring evaluations from experts in their fields. Sponsoring Institutions include Iona College in NYS, Universidad Panamericana at Guadalajara, US-Korea Business Institute, San Francisco State University, and CIBER at the University of Connecticut.
The objective of IBEC 2015 is to provide a forum for intellectual discussion among scholars and practitioners. We seek to provide a platform to analyze the strategic challenges faced by firms, educators, governments, and other institutions in the global arena. Accepted papers and cases presented in the conference will be published in the conference proceedings with the U.S. Library of Congress ISSN 1537-2316. Authors retain copyright of their works. Proceedings will be posted on-line and on CD-Rom. Best paper awards will be given to competitive papers upon the recommendation of the Editors. Generally, five best paper awards–best in several disciplines-are given every year. Outstanding Award Papers may be considered for publication in the Journal of International Business and Economy (JIBE) http://www.ijibe.org/, ISSN 1527-8603.
The topics for IBEC XIV include, but are not limited to: international business environment, marketing strategies, international strategy, import/export management, world markets and global competition, organizational behavior management, management philosophy, health management issues, human resources strategies, management of education, expatriate management, business education, international entry strategies, transfer of technology / knowledge, cross-cultural consumer behavior, international logistics, information systems, operations management, international finance, international accounting, intercultural management, trade policy, and FDI policy.
The conference venue is the John XXIII Conference Center at Assumption University (AU) of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Campus. The recommended hotel for the conference is the King David Residence Hall [On Campus residence]. The room rate is 1,500 Baht per night, breakfast included [Twin bed]. This is approx. 50 USD per nigh (according to exchange rates at time of printing; rates subject to change according to market fluctuations).
