The UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center

The UCLA Conference Center is described as a "gracious and historic lakeside resort ... high in the San Bernardino Mountains". Guest rooms have a queen size bed with bath downstairs and a second queen size bed with bath upstairs; a living room area with wood-burning fireplace is shared by two conferees. All meals will be provided by the conference center.

Lake Arrowhead is one of the premier mountain "escapes" in southern California. In May, Spring should be in full bloom, however night time temperatures will probably require a light jacket and rain is a possibility. Although there will still be skiing in southern California, there won't be any snow in and around Arrowhead. For those seeking physical acitivity there are many hiking possibilities around the lake, and the center also offers swimming and tennis. More about Lake Arrowhead.

The conference center is located just north of San Bernardino, less than two hours from Los Angeles, Long Beach and most parts of Orange County. The Ontario International Airport is just one hour away. The last thirty minutes are spectacular as you rise above the Los Angeles basin on the "Rim of the World Highway" into the clean air and blue sky of the mountains.

Getting There

North of San Bernardino, Lake Arrowhead can be reached in about 2 hours from LAX. From Ontario International Airport, allow at least 1 hour. A map from the Ontario Airport to the Facility appears below.
