Enviro-Met 2001, the Conference on Environmental Issues Affecting Metals Industries, is being planned for April 2-3, 2001. The Conference will be held at the Hilton Hotel & Towers in Pittsburgh, PA. Its principal sponsors are the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) and the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP), both of which are not-for-profit professional organizations. Enviro-Met 2001 will be a reprise of the successful “Environmental Issues for the Metals Industries” Specialty Conference held in 1998. Our intention is that this Conference will cover a wide range of environmental issues of practical interest among metals industries in North America.
Call for Abstracts
Abstracts are invited from metals industry companies, regulatory agencies, engineering/ consulting firms, equipment manufacturers, law firms and environmental organizations. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Technical Program Co-Chairs for the Conference and, on the basis of relevance, originality and clarity, will be accepted for full paper preparation and presentation at the Conference. Important dates are:
September 15, 2000, Deadline for submittal of abstracts.
October 13, 2000, Notification of acceptance to presenting authors will be mailed along with guidelines for paper preparation.
November 30, 2000, Due date for papers, which will then be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Any review comments will be sent to the authors by mid-January 2001.
February 28, 2001, Due date for receipt of final papers for publication in the Conference Proceedings.
Please submit your abstract by using the attached form. Abstracts may be submitted by mail, fax or e-mail. E-mail submittals must include all information requested on the Abstract Submittal Form. Please indicate the topic(s) listed at the bottom of the Form that most closely fit your paper. The corresponding author is assumed to be the presenting author unless otherwise indicated.
