| Description |
THEME
The Conference theme is Forcing and Response in Coastal Dynamics, where the forcing may be natural or anthropogenic. This theme recognizes the importance in coastal research of looking at coastal processes as cause and effect.
The theme encompasses field, laboratory, theoretical, and numerical studies, with emphasis on achieving comprehensive understanding of coastal processes and prediction of long-term and large-scale evolution of our coastlines.

Language
The official language of the conference is English. In shops, banks, etc. almost all people speak English.
Credit Cards
Almost all shops, restaurants, etc. will accept major credit cards. You may also withdraw cash from ATMs throughout the city..
Liability
The Conference organisers accept no responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during the conference. Participants are recommended to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance.
Passport and Visa Requirements
All international visitors, except Scandinavian citizens, require a valid passport for entry into Sweden. Please contact your local Swedish Embassy or Consulate or your travel agent for information on Visa requirements. Please note! For travelers of certain nationalities coming through Copenhagen Airport, a Danish Transit Visa may be required.
Letters of Invitation
Letters of invitation to assist with government regulations are available through the Conference Secretariat on written or email request.
Electricity
The electrical current is 220 volts, 50HZ. The connection for appliances is European Standard with 2 round pins. Most hotels provide 110-volt outlets for shavers that will also accept 2 flat pin plugs (US standard).
Climate
The weather in Lund can vary a lot in June. The temperature may be anywhere between 15 and 25 C. Most years, though, the weather is warm and dry. Still, make sure to bring an umbrella. Also, it would be a good idea to pack some warm clothes for the evenings.
Time Zone
Sweden operates on Standard European Time which is Greenwich+1.
