Amsterdam has been dubbed the ‘Global Village’. Its historical roots keep it curiously cosmopolitan, yet at the same time it is very relaxed. It’s a youthful, cultural city that provides stimuli for creativity. Amsterdam is home to some of the best art in the world, has more canals than Venice, more bridges than Paris and around 7,000 national monuments in the city centre. But behind historical façades, you’ll find cafés, restaurants and a buzzing night life. There are all sorts of opportunities for trips around the city and out into the countryside.
And…. do not forget to ride a bike.
