The 2001 IEEE CS Workshop on Object-oriented Real-Time Dependable Systems will be held in Roma (Italy). This workshop, which is the sixth in the highly successful WORDS series, continues its theme in integrating three computer system engineering technologies (CSETs): Object-oriented CSET, Real-time CSET, and Dependable (Fault tolerant and secure) CSET. This workshop serves as a forum for the valuable exchange of newly recognized research issues, promising advanced formulations, and research progress reports that are of a conceptual, theoretical, innovative design, or experimental nature, and represent technological or scientific advances.

WORDS'01 will take place at the School of Engineering of the University of Roma "La Sapienza" located in the heart of the Ancient Roma, next to the "San Pietro in Vincoli" Church that hosts the Mosè by Michelangelo. Workshop rooms face a nice middleage cloister. Within some five-minutes walking distance you will find Colosseo, Fori Imperiali and Domus Aurea just to name the most important monuments.
