Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society (AESS)
Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society Opens Lines of Communications/ Technology Exchange
Fields of Interest
Members of the Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society (AESS) of the IEEE are interested in the design, integration, test, and analysis of large, complex systems consisting of major subsystems that contain dissimilar electronic devices. Most of our members work on sensor systems (radar. sonar, optics, and navigation), communications systems, command and control centers, avionics, space systems, military systems, digital signal processing simulators, and software development. Some members work on robotics, energy, and transportation systems.
Membership Benefits
The only professional society dealing with total integrated electronic systems and the enabling technologies.
AESS pioneered large-scale integrated interoperable systems
We interact with all technical societies and organizations
Panel and committee membership
Conferences and symposia
Present papers
Prizes and awards for technical accomplishments
Benefit from our Distinguished Lecturer Series
All members receive Aerospace and Electronic Systems magazine and a discount on Transactions.
Technology areas include: Command, control and communication systems; energy conversion; intelligent systems; navigation and tracking systems; radar; robotics; simulations and instrumentation; sonar and undersea systems; space systems; automatic test systems; vehicular systems; and modular integrated electronics.
AESS Affiliate status is available to those who do not wish to become IEEE members but wish to affiliate with the AES Society.
Conferences
AESS sponsors conferences nationally and internationally to foster the transfer of technical accomplishment and to encourage personal interaction among engineers in specific technologies.
Panels
AESS sponsored panels establish recognized technology standards.
Chapters
Members hear recognized experts' technical presentation and participate in field trips organized around local AESS chapters located all over the world.
Board of Governors
Members of the Board of Governors serve three year terms.
Forum for Aerospace and Electronic Systems
The FAES provides the AES community with news and information related to aerospace and electronic systems.
AESS Transactions and AESS Magazine
Indices of the AESS Transactions and the AESS Magazine may now be viewed online!
Summaries of papers that will appear in the next issue of the AESS Transactions may also be viewed!
