To be held at the Outrigger Wailea Resort.
The spirit of aloha reaches out to enfold you with Hawaii's rich history, legendary sunsets and heartfelt hospitality. The famous aloha spirit makes friends of strangers, melts cultural barriers and inspires understanding. A blend of scenic splendor including blue seas and skies, golden beaches, green mountains, white clouds and black lava rocks greets you.
Hawaii is a global community with strong ties to Asia and the Pacific region. The Hawaiian people trace their heritage to many lands, including early Polynesian explorers and immigrants from China, Japan and the European countries. The Hawaiian tradition of blending these diverse elements into a unique culture provides a perfect setting for the INFORMS International Hawaii meeting.
Maui The Magic Isle
Discover the magic of Maui when you explore 10,023-foot Haleakala Mountain, the largest dormant volcano in the world with slopes that boast seven different climate zones from tropical rain forests to deserts and whose crater is large enough to hold Manhattan. The island offers old plantation towns, celebrated golf courses and opportunities for snorkeling and wind surfing in addition to 42 miles of beach. The road to Hana, with 600 curves and views of lava sea cliffs, tropical rain forests and waterfalls is one of the most scenic drives in the entire world.
Outrigger Wailea Resort
Located on the southwest coast of Maui, the Outrigger Wailea Resort offers you a very warm aloha spirit, as you are greeted with a garland of bright, fragrant blossoms freshly plucked and strung. The sound of Pacific Ocean waves reaches you through the door of your luxurious guest room. Scenic beaches, golf, tennis and ocean sports are close by. The Shops at Wailea offer shopping, dining and entertainment adjacent to the resort.

Flexible Options for Contributed Papers
INFORMS now offers preliminary meeting programs only on INFORMS Online. The online program replaces the printed version. An electronic version of the program allows us the flexibility of a longer time frame in which to accept papers and lets you present your most up-to-date research the moment it's finished. The online program is updated regularly. A search mechanism is in place for the preliminary program, allowing you to search on key topics, authors and tracks. Print only what you need to plan your meeting schedule - revise your schedule as needed. All meeting attendees will receive a printed copy of the final INFORMS International Hawaii 2001 program at the meeting.
