New technologies bring great promise to the field of recombinant pharmaceutical discovery, development and production. Antibody therapeutics hold the promise of effective treatment for some of the most significant unmet clinical needs, including cancer, HIV, autoimmune diseases, infectious disease, neuromuscular disease, vascular disease, organ rejection, and allergic disease. The recombinant production of other substances such as collagen, blood factors and growth hormones offer the possibility of producing large amounts of the material, in a cost-effective and safe manner. This conference will present the latest data on topics relating to recombinant pharmaceuticals, including antibodies, and their potential in the treatment of disease. It will also explore the latest results from pre-clinical and clinical trials of recombinant therapeutics.
