Falling bandwidth prices, fears in the colocation market as to falling revenues and a push from investors has led to infrastructure providers attempting to capitalise on what is seen as a lucrative market. There have been problems however. Many infrastructure companies do not have the expertise in house or indeed the capital required to provide these managed services themselves. Providers have instead looked to 'co-opetition' strategies and a myriad of partnerships and alliances have formed throughout the industry.

There is still much confusion as to what managed solutions really are, who they should be targeted at, and the best strategy to follow in offering them to an existing customer base. Even partnerships are open to scrutiny as the term is often used loosely - indeed, some would say overused. Many partnerships amount to little more than re-seller agreements and there is growing concern as to whether certain partnerships can in fact affect providers' perceived neutrality.

The Phillips Group believes that these are issues that must be addressed and so presents The Managed Solutions Seminar. This highly focused seminar will examine and address the technical, legal, financial and strategic implications of forming multiple partnerships with multiple providers with the aim of providing delegates with a greater understanding of this highly complex market.
