The discovery of novel PBG nanostructures and implementing nanofabrication processing will enable photonics to advance the technology of light localization, optics miniaturization, and production of smaller, less expensive, highly integrated optical devices and components. This conference bridges the gap between physics, chemistry and engineering in an effort to explore the impact of these PBG materials on the production of products that depend on lightwave technology.
