| Description |
The 256 billion-dollar tobacco industry promotes the use of tobacco products, which induce
multidisciplinary human, social, moral, and health problems in all its users resulting in debilitating human
life and hastening avoidable death with global burden of 256 thousand billion dollars.
WATCH-2002 provides us with a platform not only to qualify and quantify this burden but to probe into
possibilities of resolving the disastrous situation in which our progeny and we are being forced to live in.
With this in view a scientific timetable has been scheduled by the WATCH-2002 counselors to intensify our
efforts in order to curb the unmitigated spread of tobacco use especially in less developed countries which
fall within the empires expansion targets.
Needless to say the continued support of global institutions/organization viz. WHO, UICC, AFPS, CASH,
IASLC, WHF, ESMO, SIIC and ICOOC will once again ensure that we are poised to participate in yet an
other successful and satisfying conference whose global guidelines will become applicable to the
loco-regional requirements.
New Delhi-India, with its recent and unparalleled advances in bio and info technology, provides not only a
value for money venue with excellent conference facilities but also an approachable destination for
delegates from participating countries who are planning to deliberate on modalities of managing this
menace.
It is our privilege on behalf of the Conveners , Coordinators and Councilors to invite you to attend the
WATCH-2002 in New Delhi.
