| Description |
We extend a very warm invitation to you to attend the 8th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine, which will be held at the University in Durham from the 10th - 12th September 2002.
Following last years successful format in Belfast this conference will provide a comprehensive scientific programme covering the most recent advances in the application of physics and engineering in healthcare. It will also offer a range of reviews, an exciting interdisciplinary plenary session on the brain, trainees and technologists sessions and the IBEX 2002 Exhibition.
We are aiming to have a wide-ranging appeal to professionals in healthcare and therefore welcome the integration of this meeting with the Autumn Meeting of the British Nuclear Medicine Society (12th - 13th September 2002 at the same venue). The RPA update meeting will also be held in Durham on the 10th September 2002.
The historic city of Durham provides an excellent location and the conference venues are within walking distance of the city centre. An enjoyable social programme, with the conferenec dinner reception in the Oriental Museum and a relaxed evening cruise with fantastic views of the city and the cathedral will add a local flavour to the scientific programme.
