On behalf of the Organizing Committee under the Chairmanship of Prof. Raj. N. Kalaria, from the Institute for Ageing and Health at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, we invite you to register for The Second International Conference on Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy in United Kingdom.

With the help of an international faculty we have planned an exciting and expanded scientific and clinical program. Some of the topics that will be discussed are:

 Biological aspects of CAA/Potential targets for therapy

 Amyloid ß production, toxicity and fibrillogenesis
 ApoE and Aß

 Vessel breakdown/interaction with atherosclerosis
 Animal models for CAA
 Therapeutic approaches to CAA

 CAA and clinical diseases

 Foundation for clinical trials in CAA

 Diagnosis and outcome markers
 Lessons from stroke prevention trials

World-reknowned international leaders of the amyloid and stroke fields have already confirmed speaking engagements for this conference. We will initiate the Conference with a leading scientist on the international scene; Dr. Peter St-George-Hyslop from Toronto, Canada. Speakers will present emerging research and explore new directions.

As in the previous Conference, there will be ample opportunity for interaction between all participants including scientists, clinicians and industrial collaborators. We encourage you to submit an abstract.

We are looking forward to meeting you!
