This two-day masterclass will bring you up to date on recent employment law developments in six European countries and their implications for the multinational employer. It offers not only a detailed and practical insight into the employment laws of each country, but also an overview of the broad social and legal framework in which individual measures continue to evolve.
The event is being run in association with FedEE's international law firm partner, Baker & McKenzie, whose European Employment Group will be contributing the expertise of top legal professionals from their offices in the major EU states. Each speaker will cover a common core of subjects before moving on to deal with 'hot topics' of relevance to the country concerned.

The core subjects that will be covered are:

Recruitment, employee contracts and policies
Working time
Employee participation
Reorganisations, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions
Dismissals - individual and collective
Post-termination restraints
Equal opportunities and discrimination
Maternity and parental leave
Delegates will be encouraged to interact with the speakers and with each other to clarify the points being made and apply them to situations drawn from their own experience. Copies of papers and Powerpoint slides will be made available to participants either during the masterclass or afterwards via our password-protected eLearning website.
This event builds on the success of the FedEE employment law masterclass held in Amsterdam last October, which attracted participants from eight European countries as well as the USA and Canada.
