About the conference


The Asia Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) Conference is organized conjointly with its semi-annual board meeting to discuss issues of regional concern such as the impact of urbanization on health, ageing, child survival, AIDS, occupational health and many other subjects.



This year we bring you The 34th APACPH Kuala Lumpur Conference, with the theme ‘Health Reform and Change’. The conference highlights are:

Call for Abstract


Deadline for Submission of Abstracts: 28th February2002

Deadline for Full Paper Submission: 20th April 2002



We welcome abstract submissions on any topic relating to health reform and change. Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation. The presenting author must register to attend the conference.



Please indicate your preference for an oral or poster presentation. Please note that the final decision on which type of presentation is appropriate will rest with the organizing committee.



The abstracts of all papers and posters will be printed in the book of abstract, and full papers submitted before the deadline will be published in the Asia-Pacific Journal for Public Health (APJPH).
Additional Information HOW TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT
· Abstract should be submitted as an e-mail attachment or diskette, as well as 2 hard copies. All submissions should be in Microsoft Word format (PC) using the standardized format given below.
· Author Information: submissions should include a separate sheet giving the following information:
a. Full name, address, telephone, fax and email of presenting author
b. Preferred method of presentation: oral or poster
c. Title of the abstract
· Format of Abstract: Please use the following order of items:
Title of Abstract: Use upper and lower case
Author/s: Underline the presenter
Institution: Where the work was conducted
Text of the abstract: No more than 300 words – use single line spacing
· The printed copy of the Abstract should be printed in black ink using:
Paper size: A4; Portrait
Font : Times New Roman
Font size : 12 point
Spacing : Single
Margins : Top 1”, Bottom 1”, Right 1.25”, Left 1.25”
