Description

This seminar is designed to enable you to identify and evaluate competitors' current, emerging and potential strategies. It focuses upon four key analysis issues: identifying which competitors to analyze; delineating and assessing their current and potential strategies; integrating this analysis and its outputs with related types of analysis (including customer, supplier, industry and technology analysis); and, creating multiple forms of value for different types of decision makers. Generating value for a diverse array of decision makers throughout the organization serves as the integrating theme throughout the seminar.

The analysis focus is competitor strategies. Thus, a variety of specific analysis tools and techniques are presented that will enable you to identify current and emerging competitors, and to describe and assess their current and likely strategic moves. Examples of factual work in a range of industries will be used to illustrate how to apply each tool or technique. Common errors in using these tools and techniques and how to avoid them will be noted.
