Over the past ten years partnership working has been a central feature of public services. This conference will present the experience of partnerships in different policy fields within the public sector, identifying the theoretical and practical approaches to making partnership work and evaluating the advantages and disadvantages for those involved in joint working.

Speakers Include:

Prof Gerry Stoker - (University of Manchester) and Co-author of "Towards Holistic Government" and well know expert on local Governance.

Joe Montgomery - Head of the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions and former Director of Regeneration in Lewisham

Sue Killen - Director, UK Anti-Drugs Coordination Unit, Home Office (formerly Cabinet Office)

Michael Whitehouse - Director, Modernising Government and Value for Money Development, National Audit Office (UK) and recently involved in the NAO Report ‘Joining up to improve public service’

Prof Colin Talbot -University of Glamorgan and Director of Public FUTURES will be chairing the conference
