With consumers (not to mention insurers and employers) clamoring for lower Rx drug prices, the outlook for the generic drug industry is bright. Yet even while demand for generics is intensifying, generic drug manufacturers face frustrating attempts to block generics from entering the marketplace. Legislative reform is hoped for, but fixing a broken system promises not to be easy. This conference illustrates how to anticipate and oppose the variety of tactics used by big pharma to delay the availability of generic drugs. We also focus on high-profile antitrust lawsuits such tactics have invited and predict their impact on the future of brandgeneric competition.
