With the present debate on the way the rail network should be managed and operated still very high on the agenda, the Organising Committee hope they have been able to combine a series of seminars which will cover both the engineering and operational aspects. In addition to the presentations, delegates will be encouraged to participate and contribute to the discussion periods in order to showcase the views of those currently engaged in implementing the changes.
Delegates attending the Railway Technology Conference will be drawn from the broad spectrum of engineers working in the railway industry. The programme should appeal to all those involved with the management, operation and implementation of railway systems, asset management, training and the development of personnel.
The programme has been designed so delegates can gain the maximum benefit by attending half-day seminars and visiting the exhibition at the same time. Although each seminar is a self-contained topic, some topics have attracted so much interest that it has been necessary to extend them into two separate sessions. In this case, reduced fees are available to delegates wishing to take advantage of both morning and afternoon sessions.
