Whether your field is pipeline, cables or tanks, underground or aboveground, internal or external, there is a presentation by an expert that could benefit you and your company. PROGRAMS OFFERED
Western States Corrosion Seminar begins on Tuesday morning with a GENERAL SESSION.

In the afternoon, the seminar breaks into the following four courses of study:

I. FUNDAMENTALS
II. INTERMEDIATE
III. ADVANCED
IV. HANDS-ON

Each student may attend all classes in a given course or may choose to attend select classes among the various courses.

EXHIBITS from foremost corrosion control companies showing their products and services will be on dsplay. This is an excellent opportunity to meet local and internationally known companies in the field of corrosion control. Open throughout the seminar, the exhibit hall is the main gathering place during morning and afternoon breaks.

COURSE EXAMS are being offered for the Fundamentals, Intermediate, and Advanced Sessions on Thursday afternoon to verify your knowledge of the subject. An additional fee of $100 is required per exam which includes a well-known reference book.

CERTIFICATION EXAMS
NACE International certifications exams, such as Corrosion Technician, Corrosion Technologist, Sr. Corrosion Technologist, CP Tester Upgrade, and the various specialist exams, will also be given on Thursday.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Engineers in all fields, corrosion technicians, construction foremen, maintenance foremen, and management, who have responsibility for approving engineering and corrosion control related expenses, will discover the corrosion options, their importance, and overall savings possible when corrosion control is properly implemented.

REGISTRATION FEE
The WSCS resident registration fee is $550 per person single occupancy. The resident fee includes lodging on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners, continuous refreshments, and two evening hosted social hours. Meals for non-attendees can be purchased in the dining room. Room check-in is available after 3 pm on Tuesday.

Monday night lodging is available for the convenience of the attendee commuting from out of the area for an additional fee of $80 per person.

Non-resident registration fee is $380. The fee includes 3 lunches, continuous refreshments, and 2 evening hosted social hours. Breakfast and dinner can be purchased in the dining room.

One-day registration is $150. The fee includes 1 lunch and continuous refreshments. Breakfast and dinner can be purchased in the dining room.

All attendees receive a copy of the proceedings, additional handouts, attendee roster, and attendance certificate.

CATHODIC PROTECTION TESTER RECOGNITION COURSE
We also offer the Cathodic Protection Tester Recognition Course which is a three-day intensive course. Those who successfully complete the written and hands-on portion of the exam and have documented work experience within the last year are qualified to become recognized as a "CP TESTER" as defined in Code 40 CFR 280.12 of the Code of the Federal Regulations. It presents corrosion and cathodic protection (CP) fundamentals, basic test equipment, monitoring and conducting CP tests, rectifier maintenance, safety considerations, and record keeping. In addition to classroom instruction and discussion, students participate in hands-on training.

Fees for the CP Tester Course are $575 and include 3 lunches, continuous refreshments, and 2 evening social hours. Tuesday and Wednesday night lodging, 2 breakfasts, and 2 dinners can be included for an additional fee of $180 per person, single occupancy. Monday night lodging is available for $80 and includes breakfast. Monday night dinner can be purchased in the dining room.

PRE-REGISTRATION

SEMINAR FACILITIES AND LOCATION
Kellogg West Conference Center and Lodge is on the California State Polytechnic University campus in Pomona. It is situated on 1438 acres of rolling ranch land in the Pomona Valley with the San Gabriel Mountains as a backdrop. Its purpose is to support education, training, and profesional development in an idyllic environment.

LODGING AT KELLOGG WEST
The 85 guest rooms and suites have just completed a multi-million dollar renovation. The result is a warm, rustic feel of raw pine and earth tones. In room features such as newspaper delivered to the door each morning, a pay-per-view movie channel, mini bar, cordless phone and nationally recognized amenities create an atmosphere of comfort and pampering. Each room has a patio or balcony and views of the surrounding mountains and/or the campus.

The newly completed pool and spa, adjacent to the Lodge Fitness Room and overlooking the San Gabriel Mountains and snow capped Mt Baldy, provide a relaxing setting after a full day of study.

Additional proceedings for past and present seminars can be purchased for $35 each.

CLOTHES
The attire for the seminar is strictly informal. The weather in May is very comfortable but the attendee should prepare for cool mornings and evenings.
