Queen's University Belfast is pleased to announce the forthcoming conference 'International Public Health Nursing: Diversities and Commonalities'
which will be hosted by the
School of Nursing and Midwifery in Belfast.
Conference Purpose:
The conference will provide a forum to examine innovative and contemporary public health nursing innovations through keynote speakers, concurrent sessions, symposia and poster presentations. International and local researchers and clinical and public health practitioners will share a breadth of intercultural and global experiences.
Conference Objectives:
To explore global perspectives that impact on public health nursing
To discuss strategies for influencing public health policies and health care delivery
To explore ways of advancing public health nursing knowledge and practice
To share research findings to increase the impact of public health nursing globally.
Please note that professional visits will be arranged during the programme and there will be opportunities to visit Public Health units within Northern Ireland.
Call for Abstracts:
Abstracts for papers, symposia or poster presentations on the conference themes outlined below are invited:
Global community development
Political and economic change
Gender issues in public health
International and cross-cultural learning
Innovations in public health and nursing/midwifery
Nursing and midwifery preparation for global public health
Targeting health and social need.
