| Description |
Genetic topics include the definition and uses of genetically-defined strains, nomenclature rules,
breeding strategies, genetic quality control, and genetic background effects on phenotypes. Disease
topics will include comprehensive coverage of infectious diseases and common background lesions
and their effects on phenotypic expression.
Phenotypic evaluation topics will include protocols for evaluating mice for behavioral, physiologic and
anatomic changes and the diverse conditions which can alter phenotypic expression.
The genetics and pathobiology of common and/or important groups of mouse models of human disease
will also be presented, as will topics relating to new technologies and methods being used to examine
mice for gene and phenotypic expression.
