Description The purpose of the short course is to provide an up-to-date view of the fundamentals of some basic flows and control practices which can be employed to produce needed effects. Specific areas where control strategies are applied include transition delay, separation prevention, drag reduction, lift augmentation, turbulence suppression, noise abatement, and heat and mass transfer, including combustion, enhancement, in both free and wall-bounded flows.
