| Description |
This is rapidly becoming the definitive annual event at which policy-makers, practitioners and researchers come together to discuss developments in ‘performance in government’.
Two issues will be especially highlighted at this year’s conference:
How do ‘sponsors’ and stakeholders establish modern ‘performance partnership’ arrangements with service delivery organisations?
What role your audit and inspection regimes play in performance measurement, management and reporting?
The UK government will issue – in July - the third set of Public Service Agreements containing the top-level targets for government departments. At the same time virtually every part of the UK public sector now has not only mandatory performance measurement but also some form of audit and inspection of performance. This year’s conference again brings together official and critical views, practitioners and researchers, as well as international, national, regional and local public services. It provides a unique opportunity to hear and contribute and to discuss the issues that are affecting public services at all levels.
Speakers include:
Prof Colin Talbot - Professor of Public Policy and Management, University of Glamorgan and Director, Public Futures
